Will compressing reduce the quality of my PDF?
At Light or Medium levels, quality is barely affected. Maximum compression reduces image quality slightly but keeps all text perfectly readable.
What compression level should I choose?
For emailing documents, use Medium (50%). For archiving or web upload, use High (75%). For the smallest possible size, use Maximum (100%).
Can I compress a scanned PDF?
Yes. PDF Vista compresses both digital PDFs and scanned document PDFs.
Why is my compressed PDF the same size?
Some PDFs are already optimized. PDFs containing mostly text with no images have very little room for size reduction.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no strict limit, but very large files (100MB+) may take longer to process.
